Sign reads 'Cyclists Proceed to Junction' - cars presumably are held back on a red light to allow long vehicles to turn.

Shouldn't that be a No Entry Except Cycles sign?

  • Icon 164834 There is No Entry for cars travelling South at this point but it is not a one way street. At the moment cyclists have to get off their bikes and walk over a section of pavement to enter the restricted area. It would be easy to design cycle access while continuing to prevent car access.
  • Icon 164833 No pavement on Kings Head side of road with front doors opening directly on to the road. There should be a single track road with priority to vehicles coming up the hill to reduce vehicle emissions.
  • Icon 164832 Reduce speed limit to 30 mph in both directions and on the Marks Tey bound lane make it a single carriageway. This would enable a two way segregated cycle track to the station.
  • Icon 164823 Busy road towards Marks Tey train station from the surrounding Stanway residential area, with a number of pinch points on it. Regularly get very close passes along the whole length of the road. Ideally needs protected cycle lanes installed to make a safe route from the residential area to Marks Tey train station to encourage use of the newly expanded cycle storage facilities.
